Hazrat Hakim Sahib (دامت برکاتہم) delivers a monthly lecture on this world famous book, adorned with Divine and Prophetic teachings, “Halqa Kashf-ul-Mahjoob”, and also conducts meditation. A large number of readers participate in this gathering. Following is the summary of almost two hours’ lecture.
Rectify your intentions in the beginning: As our topic of discussion is intention, Hazrat Ali Hijveri (رحمت اللہ علیہ) writes further that if the intention is not right since the beginning (if he is not serving purely for the sake of Allah but to fulfill his personal desires), means he is serving but not getting anything out of it. Sheikh (رحمت اللہ علیہ) has very strongly cautioned about “consequent loss of barakah (Allah’s blessings)”. “O servants of Allah! Generations prosper because of barakah rather than abundance. I am telling the truth”.
Just two possibilities: My sheikh Sayyed Abdullah Hijveri (رحمت اللہ علیہ) once said that if you see a person, who worked hard, served and struggled all his life and was also expert in his profession (I recalled something very old that I might not have shared before, it's an interpretation of my sheikh's saying) but he is still empty handed and poor, consider that he is going through one of the two things; either he is so much elevated in his piety that Allah wants to keep him poor in this world to make him rich in the world hereafter or he did not purify his intentions since the beginning. His corrupt intention is the cause of his failure, that Allah deprives him of barakah. His intention is not good, something is wrong somewhere.
Two big losses of wrong intention: So sheikh (رحمت اللہ علیہ) says that it causes loss of barakah; your heart gets detracted from the right path and adapts the wrong ways. “And that I impelled myself in accordance with your request, that this book fulfills your intentions. Therefore it’s an obligation for me to do justice with your query. As your question could not be addressed immediately, so I should be firm in my intentions that I will justify it fully”. Hazrat Ali Hijveri (رحمت اللہ علیہ) is telling the reason of initiating this book. First he explored his intentions and then prepared himself to right this book. (Continued)
