Service in defense service has its own color. This is not job but way of life. Employees are trained in such a way that can cater with every kind of situation; this is the thing which makes employee of defense service better and outstanding then other jobs. In 1977. We were serving on control line of Kashmir. Last days of Ramadan, whole day we used to fast and protect borders of country and at night we used to offer Taraweh, pray and offer acts for the protection of our country and sleep. At night our other unit was on duty. Sometime enemy used to fire which was answered as rejoinder. One day suddenly unit next to us got in fight with Indian Army. One day before EID these fights got serious and we were asked to help on demand. I and my soldiers were nearest to fight. Our commanding officer ordered that you and your soldiers get ready and wait for next order. If needed soldiers will go for help under your command. I ordered all of my soldiers to get ready and started waiting for orders from headquarter. Same evening after Iftar we heard announcement of moon sight, next morning was Eid and we were enthusiastic for protection of borders of our country that we don’t even care about moon night or EID. We had a passion to rejoinder our enemy. None of my soldier did iftari completely they just had few dates with water and went back to control line for waiting of order. Night passed in same position. Till morning we were in same position and nothing was clear, we had a meeting to offer EID, we decide that we will offer EID prayer but in uniform, we offered EID namaz and prayed from ALLAH that help us and make situation clear to us. We just said AAMEEN after prayer ALLAH sent his help and we got order from headquarter that enemies cannons are now silent and now he do not have courage to start again so you can get normal. We came in normal position and spent EID in mountains of Kashmir and enjoyed a lot.
