Preacher of Islam, Hazrat Maulana Kaleem Siddiqui Phallat.
Hazrat Maulana Kaleem Siddiui Daamat Barkaatahum al aaliya is a great preacher of Islam, upon whose hand almost more than 5 lakh people have embraced Islam. His renowned book “Gusts of the Wind of Guidance” is worth reading.
I had to take my brother along with me in order to participate in the program. He came on his car. Brother used to live on the third floor. I rung from below and the sister told that he had gone to take shower. I insisted the brother to come up and take tea. But Doobay sahib did not come above due to the thought of getting late in the program. That is why he waited below inside the car. He saw that there was a mosque near the apartment. A lot of people were arriving there. He thought that perhaps something was happening there. He asked the driver to move the car ahead a little bit. It was Sunday. A weekly gathering was happening there. A person was delivering a speech. In order to pass the time he started listening to the speech. The person who was delivering the speech was an old fellow of the congregation who was talking about the accounts of grave and judgment in a fantastic way. And he was talking about the torments after death and scaring people of hell and asking people to believe in Allah and His prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) with a lot of sympathy and concern. The brother-in-law came a little late. The speech ended. And a brief formation was made. Doobay sahib, who was a high ranking official in the ministry of law, got off the car. He took off his shoes and entered the mosque and he talked to the person who was delivering the speech, “Sir I want to inquire about something?” He said, “Please say.” He said, “Our eyes are seeing that the sun is dawning, these eyes can be deceived. But it is our firm belief that what Allah and his prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) have said cannot be false.” Doobay sahib said, “This issue of heaven and hell and judgment will befall on the Muslims or all of us?” He said, “This is going to happen for everyone.” He asked, “Are there any Hindus, sikhs and Christians in this gathering or all are Muslims?” He said, “This is a congregation of Muslims only.” Doobay sahib asked, “Do people other than Muslims live in your colony as well? My brother Krishna Kumar devdi lives in front. Have you warned him about the danger of hellfire and judgment?” He said, “I did not talk to him.” Doobay sahib said, “If their house catches fire will you leave it burning that a Hindu's house caught fire?” He said, “How cans this happen? If the house caught fire then the Muslims of the entire colony will risk their lives to extinguish it.” Doobay sahib said, “I cannot understand this riddle that if the fire of this world is kindled not in their lives but in their homes then you are going to risk your life to extinguish it. And you are saying that the hellfire is 70 times more dangerous than this worldly fire and without faith your neighbors are going towards this fire. You did not even once tell them that brother you are going towards this fire. I feel as if your heart does not have a firm belief about this that the hellfire is true and that it is more dangerous than this fire.”
After this Doobay sahib starting studying Islam. All praise be to Allah, today not only is he a Muslim rather he is a true Muslim and preacher and who believes in the fire of the afterlife. And the one who wants to save every human being from this fire. But his thought is really eye-opening for us that if the neighbor's house catches this worldly fire then we leave everything aside and try to extinguish it and risk our lives for that. And the neighbors who go towards the fire that is 70 times more intense than this worldly fire by following the path of infidelity and polytheism, why don't we worry about that! Alas we could open our eyes!!
