When I say amen after every prayer, it’s not only me but the entire ummah saying amen with me.

Respected Hakim Sahib, As Salam Alaikum!

May Allah bestow His blessings and comforts upon you, your generations, me and the whole Ummah of Mohammad (ﷺ), Amen.

Though I am not so fortunate to be blessed with spiritual state but I feel many changes in my personality due to the blessings of ders. Since the age of consciousness, whenever I go somewhere and see laborers, workers and vendors on my way, I always pray for them to Allah

that He may grant them with His blessings not according to their hard work but according to His grace. Now through ders I realized that how important it is to pray for others’ wellbeing.

When I heard this in the ders that while praying for our own selves, we should intend for the entire ummah, in every prayer I try to supplicate for the entire ummah. After reciting

رَبَّنَا اٰتِنَا فِی الدُّنْیَا حَسَنَۃً وَّ فِی الْاٰخِرَۃِ حَسَنَۃً وَّقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ۔  رَبَّنَا ہَبْ لَنَا مِنْ اَزْوٰجِنَا وَ ذُرِّیّٰتِنَا قُرَّۃَ اَعْیُنٍ وَّ اجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِیْنَ اِمَامًا۔۔۔اَللّٰھُمَّ اَحْسِنْ عَاقِبَتَنَا فِی الْاُمُوْرِ کُلِّھَا وَاَجِرْنَا مِنْ خِزْيِ الدُّنْیَا وَعَذَابِ الْاٰخِرَۃِ۔۔۔ اَللّٰھُمَّ اسْتُرْ عَوْرَاتِنَا وَآمِنْ رَوْعَاتِنَا۔۔۔ اَللّٰھُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَسْئَلُکَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِیَۃَ۔۔۔۔ اَللّٰھُمَّ اَعِنَّا عَلٰی ذِکْرِکَ وَشُکْرِکَ وَحُسْنِ عِبَادَتِکَ۔

In the supplication after ders, I intend to pray for the whole ummah. Keeping the meanings of the Arabic prayers in my mind I feel contented. I perceive that there is a big river or a field in which I am sitting near a big chair and praying. After sometime, I feel that I have been blessed. And when I intend for the ummah, I feel that the entire ummah, the jinn and humans are sitting around me. When I say amen after every prayer, it’s not only me but the entire ummah saying amen with me and Allah is blessing all of us. Perhaps it was the best prayer ever in my life.
