Once Imam Ghazali RA went to a gathering where people were talking about a human’s greatest achievement. They gave examples of bravery in battles, mental brilliance etc. Someone then asked Imam Ghazali RA about his thoughts and he replied that all of you have gone far ahead in this discussion whereas a human’s greatest achievement is apparent enough. People asked him about this achievement and he replied that it is related to the restraint a person exercises over his heart and tongue. This is something very few people are capable to do and none of you are amongst who have achieving that.
