The Best Way of Paying a Loan

Hazrat Abu Huraira (رضی اللہ عنہ) quotes it that a camel of a certain age was due as loan on Hazrat Muhammad (ﷺ). That person came to you (ﷺ) and you (ﷺ) said, “Give him the camel.” The companions searched for it but they could only find a camel who was of a better age than your (ﷺ) camel (meaning that it was more precious). Therefore, You (ﷺ) said, “give that to him.” Upon this that person said, “You gave me my right completely.” May Allah give you its reward completely. You (ﷺ) said, “The best person among you is the one who is better with regard to paying back the loan.” (Sahih Bukhari)
