A person's life is peppered with desires, hopes and responsibilities. In the early years of our life, we only think about ourselves and have only worries that relate to us but soon enough we realise that growing up means being responsible and thinking of those around us as well. Not only that, we also begin to take care of our image as well and think of how to gain respect for ourselves in others' eyes. As a person ages, he begins to live not just for himself but also for those around him. What follows ahead is a brief look at what could help a person live a peaceful life.

 

Hiding your internal feelings:

As we grow older, we learn to hide what we actually feel and think. Our thoughts are protected by our skill of concealing them. And without this skill, we might have a hard time in maintaining relationships which is why this skill has been granted to us. Had our faces been like mirrors, keeping a job or a relationship would have been tough work.

 

Mold your attitude to the pressures of society:

Our behaviour in society is governed not by our own feelings and attitudes but by the expectations of society. People expect us to live our lives according to the norm around us. But how we want to live often has a lesser priority. To save ourselves from unnecessary internal conflict, it is better that we go with the flow, however that does not mean that we completely override our own internal thought process and intellect to cater to the demands of those around us.

 

Forget the harsh words:

Our mind has the capability of forgetting the past. Just think that if we were able to remember every little thing that has happened to us, how difficult it would have been to live a carefree life. Someone rightly said so that if you want healthy relationships, it's best that you don't have a very sharp memory. Because of this trait of forgetting, we are able to filter out the harsh moments of our past. After undergoing any trauma or accident, our mind tries to protect us from those harsh feelings by making those memories less distinct and cloudier. This could be our body's immune system that could be at work and its better for us that we try and make an effort to forgive the moments that most distress us.

 

Consider the feelings of others:

How you behave with others has a lot of impact in making or breaking your reputation. The fact is there are people who go out of their way to take care of others feelings and then there are those that despite having a solid personality are still unable to understand others. These people expect others to consider their feelings but don't think that that applies to them as well. People who are welcoming and accommodating often find themselves in a better position than those that aren't considerate of others. How you treat others is directly related to how others treat you who is why it's important to take others' feelings into account as well.

 

Avoid being fake:

In our society, money and outer beauty influences a lot how people treat us. Sometimes to gain the respect of others, people start to mold their own personalities to whomever they want to impress and in doing so, they eventually lose out on their own individuality. For them, life becomes like a show where they are a puppet to what others expect of them. This is a personality disorder in which people lose their self esteem and become dependent on others' approval of them. Most film stars are like this primarily because their profession demands that they mold their personalities to the likes and dislikes of others. Even people who aren't film stars might have come across this feeling as well. A person states that he is never involved in this disease so either it will be his false statement as his life never went through changes and he has not yet seen those days which makes a person aware of realities of life. Well now this is over a person that how much talent he has to take out himself from this net of formation. As soon as this courageous step will be taken, it will be that much better for becoming a balanced and good person. Adopt balanced behavior: Remember this thing that you cannot read a successful life by being 100% under the desires of others or by completely following personal desires and neither you can hold the best personality. You have to produce a balance between these both behaviors. That’s why you would have to adopt the way if balance. We hope that after adopting there few leading rules, you would read one balanced, peaceful and satisfactory life to one extend.
