Winter season is over and summers are about to come. Huge quilts and mattresses have been removed from beds. During this month, the days become comparatively longer than nights. The weather turns hot which boosts energy in the human bodies. It warms the blood and increases blood pressure. Change of weather affects the four humors of the body which decreases the phlegmatic diseases like cough, rheumatism and pleurisy. Early summer diseases like cold, flu and measles are also commonly found. Overall, the weather remains pleasant in this month.  New leaves and buds sprout in the trees, which give birth to variety of fruits. Colorful flowers bloom, their beauty not only refreshes the heart and mind but also spread numerous fragrances in the air which please the soul. It gives a feeling of joy and exuberance to withered minds. In this month, we should visit beautiful places. After a year of hard work, if we give rest to our body and soul for a few days, it reduces exhaustion and tiredness and we get refreshed. This is the reason that in the developed countries, people go to different lakes, mountains and rivers during this month and spend a few days over there. It helps to keeping them healthy and fresh. Although it is our duty to keep our houses clean, but by giving special attention to cleanliness during this month we can protect our family from fatal diseases like malaria. As mosquitoes breed in dirty places, just like flies which also grow in dirty places and cause deadly diseases like diarrhea. So we should white wash our houses, spray phenyl in the drains after cleaning them and wash the court yards and rooms to keep them clean, also garbage the trash in covered bin.  Burn scented wood or fumigate the rooms to keep the rooms clean from dirty air. It is beneficial to use mosquito net while sleeping. During this month roasted food, hunted meat, vinegar with onion and lime water should be used. Take a bath daily and massage your body with mustard oil. Using fragrance and sniffing fragrant flowers is beneficial. Avoid drinking water in empty stomach. Although in this season you feel like eating spicy fried foods but spices are not good to eat because they interrupt the digestion process of the stomach. Excessively fried meat is also not good for health because all its vitamins are burnt due to overcooking. That is why frying the meat means, “frying it moderately”.  Moreover, the people who are fond of karahi, tikka and eat such foods regularly; they have to suffer the loss of appetite and bad digestion. Their liver stops producing fresh blood, their intestinal function gets worse and they have to suffer the diseases like cholera, diarrhea and finally they fall the victims of fatal diseases like dysentery. So don’t risk your life for a short time fun. Although, eating such food occasionally and in small quantity is not harmful. Mint and onion sauce not only enhances the taste of food but also helps to digest food. Eat less in the night and take a walk after dinner. Don’t sleep immediately after eating. In spring season, the change of weather also generates changes in human body so it is essential to be careful. After the end of winter season, spring is there with its full glory and fervor. This season comes in our country in March and April. Days and nights are of equal span, floral aroma is spreading everywhere, gardens are full of life and there is a feeling of pleasantness. Despite this, there are some people to whom, these days of changing weather and especially spring season is very painful. Allergy and asthma patients are included in such people. This season brings an unpleasant message for the people suffering from allergy and asthma because spring days are distressing for such people. It becomes difficult for them to breathe, they feel suffocated and sometimes they have cough and trouble in exhaling. These patients resume health by the time spring ends and summer season starts. 

Allergy and Asthma in spring season: In spring season flowers, grass and plants pollens spread in the air. And these small particles (external substances) reach the lungs through inhalation and cause infection and inflammation. This narrows the trachea and makes it difficult to breathe. Moreover, cold and dry weather also causes allergy and asthma. Asthma caused due to external substances is called allergy, which recovers as the season is over and the air is clean.

Precautionary measure: In the morning, after Fajar prayer, take long deep breath in open air for half an hour. Pay special attention to cleaning the house, keep away from dust and dirt and avoid sour and fried foods.
