It is saying of a person that in often situations the second best option is possible for a person but he struggles to get the first best and consequently he misses the possible option in greed of achieving the impossible. A person completed his education from an Arabic School, after that he was appointed as Imam of a Masjid in a village with very small salary. Once he happened to meet the principal of a big organization. The principal observed that there is talent in Imam Masjid so he appointed the Imam Masjid in his organization. He got promotion earlier and was selected as assistant of the Principal. Now he had got a neat and clean house in the wide vicinity of the organization and a vehicle was available for him every time. A handsome salary and facilities were apart from it. It was suitable for Imam Masjid that he should have been contented with his position and should be thankful to Allah but he considered the designation of assistant as a second best option. He made a desire to get the first best i.e. to grab the seat of the Principal. For this purpose he made many conspiracies against the Principal, the detail of the conspiracies can’t be mentioned here. The result of this was that as the Principal got information about the conspiracies he used his resources and got the Imam Masjid dismissed from the organization. His bag and baggage was thrown on the road. Vehicle was taken back and he had to leave the city. Now he is again spending life as an Imam Masjid in the village. Moreover, after this incident and his defame no organization is agree to appoint him. The key of success in this world is contentment and to be thankful. It is that reality which has been mentioned as the “Second Best”. To settle down with second best does not mean to be unsuccessful. It is actually to get start with the possible thing. Therefore, the person who is satisfied with the second best in first step, in the next step he gets the first best and the person who doesn’t agree with this rule, he losses the first best and the second best as well.
