An Easy Deed for Redemption From Sins

Ubqari Magazine - April 2016

Hazrat Aqba bin Amir (RA) quotes that Hazrat Muhammad () said, “The person who commits sins and then starts doing good deeds, his example is such that as if he was wearing a tight shirt and his throat is stifled and then he does a good deed and one of its knots opens, and then he does another good deed and the second knot opens as well. So much so that he becomes free of it and comes on the land. (Masnad Ahmad bin Hanbal) The House of a Hard Hearted Person is Hell: Hazrat Suraaqa (RA) quotes that Hazrat Muhammad () said to him, “Suraaqa! Should I not tell you about the people of hell and people of heaven?” He (RA) said, “Why not O Prophet () of Allah.” Hazrat Muhammad () said, “Every such person shall go to hell who is hard hearted, harsh spoken, and arrogant, and the people of heaven would be those who are weak and dominated.” (Masnad-e-Ahmad) Companion of the Grave: It is quoted by Hazrat Anas bin Maalik (RA), he says that Hazrat Muhammad () said, “Three things go along with the dead body, two come back and one stays there. The things that come back are his wealth and family. Whereas the thing that stays with him is his deeds. (Jaamia Tirmidhi Shareef, vol. 1286) Lust of Wealth and Dignity: Hazrat Kaab bin Maalik Ansaari (RA) quotes this from his father about a saying of Hazrat Muhammad () that if two hungry wolves are unleashed over goats, so even they would not raise as much havoc as much as the lust of wealth and dignity spoil the faith of a person. (Jaamia Tirmidhi Sharif, vol. 1283)
