Respected Hakeem Sahib AS Salam O Alikum! May ALLAH grant UBQARI success day and night till the Day of Judgment and may ALLAH protect it from envy of envious. And may HE keep you alive long for your family and your students so that we can keep getting blessing from you. From old ages Barley is being used as medicine and healthy food. In old age in Greek countries barley was essential part of wrestler’s food that used to wrestle.  Barley contain good amount of ingredients that give power to body. In western countries mostly kids are given milk mixed with barley. That’s how they not only get extra nutrition but also extra energy and protection from stomach ache. Barley cures hundreds of diseases, decreases blood pressure, helps in high blood pressure, decreases incalescence, helps in thirst, keeping in view above mentioned benefits usage of barley water at Ifftar time during Ramazan of summer is very beneficial. Barley beautifies skin by excreting poisonous matters and prevents from hear. Girls and boys can get rid of acne, pimples and their marks from face if they drink one glass of barley water after or before meal. From books of Hadith we came to know that barley was one of favorite food of Prophet ﷺ. HE ﷺ not only used it as barley chapatti, DALLIA and SATTO but also suggested it as treatment. According one narration (روایت) when every HIS ﷺ any family member got ill HE ﷺ used to order him to eat barley DALLIA and used to said that use of Barley removes worries and weakness similarly as someone washes away dirt with water from his face. It is proven from latest experiments that HIS ﷺ suggested use of barley DALLIA, Sattoo, chappati and etc are very beneficial for patients of stomach, intestines and ulcer.   Especially in Ramazan during Sehr and Aftar if you use barley DALLIA with other edibles you will not only remain healthy and fresh but also you will not feel any kind of weakness or heat. Ramadan with tamarind and remain fresh

All season tree of tamarind is very leafy and shady. It is not only used as medicine but also used to make sauce. It is also used to cook food, in Hyderabad Dakin no food is made without sour flavor of tamarind infect they consider it essential part of their food as salt and pepper. Its benefits are as follows:

  • Gives power to heart and stomach
  • Excretes bile through motion
  • Protects form effects of epidemic diseases
  • During bile fever, dip and drinking 50 grams of tamarind in water is very beneficial
  • Washing wounds with tamarind leaves helps in quick healing
  • To avoid acidity, dysphoria and heat dip, filter and drink following in water: NELLOFER FLOWER 6.25 grams, TUKAM KANSI 7.3 grams, Prune (آلوبخارا) 7.3 grams and 25 grams of tamarind.
  • During infection of stomach, liver disorder and hepatitis dip following in water and drink tamarind 25 grams, TUKAM KANSI 7.3 grams, NELLOFER FLOWER 25 grams and MAKKO.
  • To excrete poisonous matter of stomach GULL SURKH 6.25 grams, dry mint 6,25 grams, ZAR E SHAK SEHREN 25 grams, tamarind 62.5 grams, first boil first three medicine in water then add tamarind and let it cool, then add sugar and after every 15 min give 2 spoon to patient, within 1 or 2 days working of stomach will get right, vomiting will be stopped.
  • During epidemic of cholera 6 big cardamom, dry mint 12.5 grams, 10 Prune, tamarind 62.5 grams dip all of the above in 1.5 kg water and slowly boil it thrice  and then let it cool down and filter it, give it to patient to drink sip by sip. It keeps the stomach and intestines clean from poisonous substance, it kills thirst and exterminates anxiety. In Ramadan, taking this syrup at the time of iftar removes the effect of heat and one feels quite fresh.

Ingredients:

Tamarind pulp: 4 table spoon

Sugar: 2 table spoon

Water: half cup

Cumin seeds (ground & fried): 1 tea spoon

Black salt: half tea spoon

Ice: according to taste

Recipe: Blend tamarind pulp, sugar and water for a few minutes in the blender. Add cumin seeds, black salt and ice and mix well. Pour tasty tamarind syrup in the glass and drink.
