For gaining weight or for getting rid of leanness, food plays important role in taking healthy steps. Lean persons should keep on eating after short intervals. The capability of a food for gaining weight can be estimated by knowing the quantity of calories in it.

Being lean, thin and having less weight is also a disease like being fatty and overweighed. Specialists have designed a weigh scale on the basis of height, age and gender of a person and it is being used worldwide. If anyone (male or female) has 10% less weight as compared to designed scale then he is supposed as ordinary less weighed and if the weight of a person is less than 20% of designed scale then the person is considered as a patient. Leanness caused by the lake of food is a critical situation. Specially, in young people this situation is dangerous. Mostly they feel tired early, body has low stamina. Defensive power against infections in the body becomes very low. Emotional factors or incorrect habits of eating like; swallowing the bites quickly, less eating and mostly keeping fasts and insufficient exercise causes the leanness. The other reasons of leanness include; problem in digestion system, fault in the food absorbing system and genetic effects. Longer irregularity in digestive system, chronic diarrhea, presence of worms in intestine, faulty liver, diabetes, insomnia, constipation and sexual diseases may also cause leanness.

MELONS: One of effective and domestic cure of leanness is the use of melons. If melons are properly used then the person gains weight speedily. During this treatment melons are eaten three times a day at meal times. This practice is continued for at least forty days or more. In the beginning 3 Kg melons are eaten daily. After that 1 Kg is increased daily so that the quantity may compensate the hunger of a person, then the quantity is sustained.Melons used for cure should be fresh, sweet and of good quality.

MANGOES AND MILK: For getting rid of leanness the “Cure with Food” consisting of mangoes has been proven the best. The mangoes being eaten for cure should be sweet and ripe. These should be used three times a day i.e. in morning, afternoon and evening. Initially two mangoes of medium size should be eaten on first day and then a glass of milk should be taken after it. Mangoes contain sugar but not the proteins. Whereas, milk has more proteins and less sugar, so deficiency of one is compensated by other. In this way the combination of mangoes and milk gives marvelous results. This treatment should be continued at least till one month. The person gets healthy, body gets energy and weight increases rapidly means leanness vanishes.

MILK: The specialists of “Cure with Food” say that for treatment of leanness, use of only milk also gives outstanding results. In the beginning of treatment the patient should be kept on “Juice Fast” and for three days he should be given warm water and lemon juice so that internal cleaning is done. On the fourth day the patient should be given a glass of milk after every two hours from 8 O’ clock. On the next day after every 1.5 hours one glass of milk and from the next day after every 1 hour a glass of milk should be given. By continuously increasing the quantity give one glass of milk after every 30 minutes from 08:00 AM to 08:00 PM daily. However, the quantity of milk should be increased only if the patient could bear it i.e. he could digest it.


FIG: For vanishing leanness and for getting weight fig is also a useful thing. The sugar found in this fruit digests early, so that it gives the ability to this fruit that it can provide power and fats to the person. Soak three figs in water and use twice a day.

RAISINS: For people who want to gain weight, raisins is a useful food for them. For this purpose use 30 g raisins daily.
