Respected readers Assalamo alaikum! I am writing this story for those who celebrate April fool’s day. Some people celebrate this day on the 1^st of April every year so that they may get a moral from this. We also used to observe this day when we were in college but not in such a vicious way that someone lose their life.

This is the story of a beautiful young lady. They were a family of 3. They were our tenants and were living there for the last one and a half year. One day she came and told my mother that your husband has suffered an accident. We knew that it was the 1st of April that day and were saved from being fooled by her. They then moved out and constructed their house in the street next to us, and had rented out the shops beneath the house. The girl used to live in the house with her family. She used to celebrate this day every year. This is the story of 1^st April 2012 and was published in some newspapers also. The family had rented out the shop beneath their house for rag collection to a relative. As soon she saw that the boy had opened the shop on 1^st April, she called his father and told him that his son has been murdered. The father could not bear the news of death of his only son and died of cardiac arrest on the spot. The relatives phoned the boy to tell him the news of his father’s death. He closed the shop and left for his home. There was complete chaos at his house. When the girl came to know of the death she revealed what she had done and said “how could I know his father was so gullible and frail that he would not able to bear a small joke”. When the boy saw the girl’s name on his father’s mobile he ran back towards the shop with an intent to kill her to avenge his father’s death. He picked the hammer from his shop and went to her house. She was alone at home in the afternoon and had just cooked rice. As soon as he entered the house he crushed her head with the hammer and fled. He informed the shopkeeper next to his shop that he has killed the girl as a revenge of her father’s death and escaped the scene. The boy himself called an ambulance. The paramedics took her to the hospital and she died at midnight. When the girl’s brother was told by his friends that your sister is being taken to the hospital he didn’t believe them and said” you are pulling an April fool’s prank on me”, on insistence he rushed towards the hospital. Her dead body was brought from the hospital the next day. She was a fashion loving lady; her nail polish could not be removed. She was about to get married. A very strange thing happened there. A woman asked for rosary to recite something for her, but it broke just as she took it. There were just a few people in funeral procession. The molvi read the funeral prayer hurriedly and the girl was buried.

How could the stupid girl know that she herself would be an April fool’s joke! The neighbors requested her brother to give her dowry in the way of Allah but he refused. He totally refused anything for continuous charity. Alas!

I wonder what would happen to her in her grave. She took the sin of a lie and a murder along her in the grave. May Allah almighty forgive her! Ameen. I am very somber over her death, I pray to Allah, even our enemy may not face such an awful death! I request the readers never to play such a prank on anyone and refrain from celebrating April fool’s day.
