March: A month of beauty, health, and strength!

Ubqari Magazine - March 2014

Now that March has begun and winters are giving way to summers, many of the illnesses associated with winters are coming to an end as well. The chilly atmosphere that had led to various aches and inconsistent health, now, no longer poses a threat; instead, an environment of rebirth and bloom is coming to the forefront. Just as spring brings along in its wake this atmosphere of bloom, similarly our body needs to recover too after a season of cold weather. Hence to revitalise our body we must actively try to make efforts such that could enhance our immunity level.

Morning Walks: Leave the bed early morning and walk for some distance so that you can acquire fresh, impactful air for your lungs. Morning walk in this respect is one good way to improve our health since the fresh air enhances red colour of the red blood cells. Also this morning walk helps in making the blood flow better and improves the mood too.

A walk followed by some exercise, body massage with mustard oil can reap great benefits. Bathe with fresh water so that dirt and oils should clear and the skin pores could be refreshed to work effectively.

Hence the month of March not only brings forth a lot of beauty but it also has a very positive effect on health. But what must be kept in mind is the fact that with the advent of summer it is imperative that we change our intake towards such diet that lacks the heat generating factor. While these foods were used in winters, their effect still remains in the blood which makes it necessary that we force our body to get acquainted with a diet that is contrary to this.

Protective measures for the month of March are very important because many diseases such as those related to skin e.g. chicken pox, measles, flu, cough, and jaundice are most commonly found in this month. Some of the precautions are listed below:

  • Avoid the use of heat-generating dry fruits.
  • Sleep early in the morning and try to wake up early too.
  • Try to lessen the use of sugar and sweets(meethai)
  • Make a routine of waking up early, going for morning walk and exercising.

The morning walk should be started an hour before sunrise and ended when the sun's intensity is still less. According to the health, a person can walk from one mile to 5 or 6. You will notice that such a walk has a great effect on your overall health so that you become immune to those secretions and hormones that enhance the build of germs. If possible walking bare foot is very helpful too especially on grass and non-cemented roads. But the problem is that such a walk is not feasible in a city. If you get the chance of walking on non-cemented paths or grass, that’s most favourable. The steadily growing heat of this month causes the body temperature to rise too which can be cured by using AARAD-MAZG-KARNAJWA 4 times a day with sugar added warm water. Also pimples too can come up in this season for which Husn-e-Yousuf can be used which can be bought from any shop that sells herbs and powders. Husn-e-Yousuf consists of grains that are very small and if one tola of their amount is mixed with two tola of slightly acidic yogurt & rub to form a consistency of cream or butter, then it can have very good results in curing pimples when applied before sleeping at night. The face can be washed in the morning. You can gain amazing benefits from this tip acquired from Islamic medicine. It’s a course of 5-weeks. Along with this the following tip if also used can make the results appear even faster.

It includes the steps to first acquire the white flowers of a neem tree, then dry them in shade to later mash them and eat them in a small quantity two times a day with milk. Dosage for 1-year old is the size of half rice grain. Increase the dosage to 1 masha with age.
