15 years ago, we had a grave digger who is not alive anymore. His name was Muhammad Yousuf; sturdy body with big eyes full of brightness and Noor. Faith was obvious from his face. His routine was to wake up early in the morning and return from graveyard only in the evening. He used to walk on the side of road and never used to see with bad eyes.
One day, a group of boys gathered and asked yousufto share any stories he faced, as he spent most of his life in grave yard making graves. Yousuf became serious and took a deep breath hearing this. He said, “I have completed 27 years working in the graveyard and I only faced one incident. It was summer afternoon. Some people came to me to ask for digging a grave. I asked if the grave was for a man or a woman. They said a woman. She died due to electric current”
I usually used to dig graves alone. I started digging the grave in intense heat. I finished making the grave around 2:30 pm in the afternoon. I was giving it a final touch when I heard a sound just like a glass bottle has broken. The grave got cold and I would feel the fragrance. I laid myself in the grave. It was extremely hot outside. But the grave was cold inside & full of fragnance. My soul could also feel the happiness. Finally after Maghrib, the people came to bury that lady. They buried her and left. I was still in the state of surprise and wanted to know what good deed has given this lady such a nice reward. I found out that this lady used to live near Fareed gate in Bahawalpur and died due to an electric shock. Her ancestors were from the same area. I reached Fareed Gate at last after inquiring. I found that her husband had also died before her. He was ill for 6 to 7 years. She took care of him day and night. Despite of his illness she never left him alone and served him whole heartily. She was poor and worked hard to earn for her husband. She never took care of any of her feelings and wishes. People who serve others just for the sake of Allah Almighty and spend their night in remembering Allah will definitely get this reward.
